Dylan Nixon - Artist / Singer
Dylan Nixon, a quite un-natural character, was born on June 27th of the year 1986. Proud son of a schizophrenic and the fastest horse in the Kentucky derby, when Ben-Hur was still racing. If you believe that, I could tell you a whole lot more bullshit. Truth is, Dylan Nixon had an unusual childhood, moving from home to home in foster care. He was adopted by a loving couple who will remain nameless at this time. Rebellion struck at the age of 13 when he was introduced to rap phenom Eminem's album slim shady lp. Dylan was inspired, became a wigger calling himself GBiz. I know, LAME. But that's where he was in his life. He started writing songs in 8th grade, convinced that his lot in life was to be anti-social, he kept to himself. Pushing people away to the point he had no friends, save his pen and paper, understanding how Tom Hanks felt when he was screaming, "Wilson!!!!" in the movie Castaway, whenever his pencil broke. Going through therapy, when his mother found the lyrics to some not so honest songs about killing fellow classmates. Relating his life to the Columbine incident. In 2003, he felt he didn't know who he really was. So he started searching, listening to all kinds of music from country to Christian alternative, dressing in the style of whatever music he was into. Digging himself deeper into the despair of the jokes of the Neanderthals who believed he wasn't being himself. A wannabe, a wanksta no matter what he tried he could not find his style, could not find himself. He graduated in 2005 at the top of his class in a school, he did not belong. A former friend introduced him to people as another High school cast away. Despite a few setbacks, including an attempted suicide in 2006 he began to record his music. 3 songs were recorded on a demo he made in a small studio in a small time producer's basement. Songs including Time Wasted, chopped and reproduced in a new light, soon to be available on this site, He's Dangerous, and Rappin for Ages, featuring a fellow BC rapper Lonnie. Dylan took his demo to a more well known company named Earz to the Streetz, where he met Young Thugginz, a charismatic rap duo. Through complications, his dream of recording with them had come to a halt. He had yet to find his style. He soon decided music wasn't in his future. He enlisted in the Marine Corp, but when it came time to ship he bailed and left for New Jersey where he met Jimmy Mac, former vocalist and guitarists for bands such as Twisted Value, the Large Hungarians, the Schmaang Lords, and Joe College. It was through this gentleman, Dylan began to find himself and his style. Here we are in 2010, 3 years after he recorded his demo, The Slickest Richard, his style was finalized, he knows what he wants and he's Never gonna Stop.
